Partner - Defence & Intelligence
Mohammad Siddique is a Partner for Xaana.Ai’s Defence and Intelligence portfolio. In this role, he leads the client practice for the Defence industry business unit which includes national security and intelligence practices. His key role is to craft and implement Xaana.Ai’s Defence industry strategy and align the organisation’s investment in this sector accordingly.
Mohammad comes from a core technical background in infrastructure, network, and enterprise architecture. He brings in more than a decade of experience working in the Defence, Federal Government, and ICT industries in Australia. He has worked in industry-leading organisations like Telstra, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Cisco, DXC technology, and Leidos Australia serving Defence and Federal Government clients. Prior to joining Xaana.Ai, Mohammad worked as the Chief Architect for IT projects at Leidos Australia for the Defence portfolio.
During his career journey, Mohammad has successfully delivered large and complex infrastructure projects and programs, digital transformation strategies, and developed program and enterprise architecture, strategies and roadmaps for clients and organisations. Mohammad’s key areas of expertise include Defence enterprise architecture, digital transformation and IT strategies, with an emphasis on Defence capability and cyber transformation. Mohammad’s aim is to develop a strategy and implementation plan for the Defence industry to enable Decision superiority for Defence and thus contribute to the Australian Government’s target of being among the top 3 digital Governments in the world by 2025.
Mohammad holds a Master of Telecommunications Engineering from The University of Melbourne, Australia and a Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is currently enrolled in Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM), University of New South Wales (UNSW) and is due to graduate in December 2022.
Apart from Industry involvement, Mohammad is actively involved in community engagements. He is a STEM Industry Mentor with the University of Melbourne and a STEM mentor for STEM in schools offered by CSIRO.
Mohammad lives in Canberra, Australia with his wife and two young kids, and enjoys travelling, watching cricket, and cooking meals for his family and friends.
